Customer smartcards and devices

Applies to roles:

System Administrator Customer Service Sales Agent Finance

View smartcards and devices

  1. Find a customer account
  2. A list of smartcards and devices will be displayed within the customer account widget
  3. You can also select 'Smartcards and devices' within the customer account menu

All smartcards and devices stored on the customer account will be displayed. Each can be selected to reveal more details.


View a smartcard or device

  1. Select the smartcard or device from the side menu
  2. Details of the particular smartcard or device will be displayed
  3. If you are viewing a Sky viewing card, you are able to perform various Sky actions. See Sky actions for more details.

Sky Actions - Re-pair a Sky Viewing Card

  1. Select the Sky Viewing Card from the side menu
  2. Select the 'Options' button or the 'Edit' button in the bottom corner of the screen
  3. Select the 'Re-pair' tab
  4. Select the 'Send' button
  5. A signal will be sent to Sky to re-pair the Sky Viewing Card and Set Top Box

Sky Actions - Authorise a Sky Viewing Card

  1. Select the Sky Viewing Card from the side menu
  2. Select the 'Options' button or the 'Edit' button in the bottom corner of the screen
  3. Select the 'Authorise' tab
  4. Select the 'Send' button
  5. A signal will be sent to Sky to authorise the Sky Viewing Card

Sky Actions - Re-enable Free-to-air on a Sky Viewing Card

  1. Select the Sky Viewing Card from the side menu
  2. Select the 'Options' button or the 'Edit' button in the bottom corner of the screen
  3. Select the 'Re-enable Free-to-air' tab
  4. Select the 'Send' button
  5. A signal will be sent to Sky to re-enable free-to-air on the Sky Viewing Card

Sky Actions - Send all bits to a Sky Viewing Card

  1. Select the Sky Viewing Card from the side menu
  2. Select the 'Options' button or the 'Edit' button in the bottom corner of the screen
  3. Select the 'Security' option
  4. Select the 'Send all bits' option
  5. Select the 'Send' button
  6. A signal will be sent to Sky to resend bits to the Sky Viewing Card

Sky Actions - Set the credit limit on a Sky Viewing Card

  1. Select the Sky Viewing Card from the side menu
  2. Select the 'Options' button or the 'Edit' button in the bottom corner of the screen
  3. Select the 'Settings' option
  4. Select the 'Credit limit' tab
  5. Enter the credit limit as a whole number (up to a maximum of 999)
  6. Select the 'Confirm' button
  7. A signal will be sent to Sky to change the credit limit of the Sky Viewing Card

Sky Actions - Set the relationship between a Sky Viewing Card and Set Top Box

  1. Select the Sky Viewing Card from the side menu
  2. Select the 'Options' button or the 'Edit' button in the bottom corner of the screen
  3. Select the 'Settings' option
  4. Select the 'Card and set top box relationship' tab
  5. Enter the 'version number' and 'serial number' (supplied by the customer)
  6. Select the 'Confirm' button
  7. A signal will be sent to Sky to change the credit limit of the Sky Viewing Card
  8. If Sky returns an CE2 error, you will be asked to provide the 'Receiver ID' and try again
